Background
I started as a student Organizer at California State University Long Beach where I had the privilege of learning the principles of community organizing while obtaining my bachelors in Communications. I worked as a student intern at the California faculty association for three years where I understood the labor movement from within and realized the power of communications. I then became a communications intern with Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy where I focused on campaigns to raise the wage for hotel workers in Los Angeles and Long Beach
What I Strive For
In these experiences I have strived to be creative in order to maximize the relationship we hold with supporters of a campaign. In order to implement my creativity into communications practices I use two strategies, 1. connect local issues we are trying to address with bigger issues that are well known and 2. create a relationship with an online audience and other online personalities to extend reach and educate.
